Reports suggest a fight between the two men outside the Tasties grill bar near the Criterion pub resulted in a stabbing. A cordon has been put in place whilst police investigations continue. It is not thought anyone has been killed in the incident,

St Pauls stabbing Bristol Tasties Grill Bar Ashley Road Criterion ...
Over the weekend another stabbing in St Pauls, Bristol, UK, where at least two men have been stabbed following an argument outside Tasties.
Although not confirmed the incident is probably drugs related, and will probably be followed by further stabbings and shootings in the area. It is not known if the incident has anything to do with the gang wars that have been plaguing the St Pauls and Easton areas over the past few eyars and beyond.
At least two men are now in Bristol Royal Infirmary with serious stab wounds after the incident in the St Pauls area of the city.
Police had been called to Ashley Road near the junction with Grosvenor Road at around 07:25 hrs on Saturday 30/07/2011.
Eye witnesses have said that there was a fight between two men outside the Tasties grill bar which is a few doors down from the Criterion pub, where there was a murder a few years ago.
This fight escalated and both men produced knives, which resulted in a double stabbing.
A Police cordon was put in place while the police investigated the incident. There is extensive CCTV in the area, which Police are looking at to establish who was involved.
Some reports suggest that more than two men were involved, though thankfully it is not thought that anyone has been killed in the incident, though this may change depending on long term damage caused by the knives.
The hospital would not comment on how serious the mens injuries were, though if it is a stab wound there are many complications that could lead to death.
Avon and Somerset police are still investigating and have now asked anyone with information to come forward.
St Pauls is an up and coming area which has some beautiful properties and a strong community, although it has an extensive crack cocaine and violent crime problem.
The area has received millions of pounds in local government investments to try and improve things, though this seems to of done little to address the problems, though granted it is a nicer place to visit than it was a few years ago.
CCTV covers much of area near Tasties and the surrounding areas which does provide a good deterent to those who seek to commit crime.
Possibly not a place you would want to go for drink on a Friday night, unless you are streetwise and know the area, though if you like a bit of danger, put on your stab vest and go for a stroll, though this is not advised, even during the day time it can be an extremely dangerous area, and on the night time there is an increased risk. If you do get approached try to keep on walking and avoid confrontation.
