'Bad Habit' Invades 'Dirt's Monster Half Mile' this Saturday
PITTSBURGH, Pa. -- It's a "Monster Saturday" at Pittsburgh's Pennsylvania Motor Speedway as the world record holding Monster Truck "Bad Habit" will perform at intermission. The show will also feature a quad exhibition. In addition, the lone 2011 edition of the always exciting and entertaining Wacky Wheels Figure Eight Mania is also on the schedule."We are pleased to welcome Ray Sylvester and the Bad Habit Monster Truck Team back to PPMS," commented speedway owner Matt Miley. "This is an excellent opportunity to showcase our Six Division Action Event program to the monster truck fans. We hope they will enjoy the exciting racing action here at "Dirt's Monster Half Mile" and tell their friends about the affordable motorsports action they can see here each week in Allegheny County."
The evening's racing program will feature a complete program for the Super Late Models, Pro-Lates, E-Mods, Cadets, Hobby Stocks and Young Guns.
Brandon Burgoon has claimed four Super Late Model victories thus far in 2011 but Michael Davis has used consistency and two feature wins to claim the top spot in the divisional points chase. Other points leader include Colton Flinner (Pro-Lates), George Nicola (E-Mods), Jake Simmons (Cadets), Ricky Steigerwald (Hobby Stocks) and Todd Weldon (Young Guns).
Admission prices for the July 30th event are as follows: Adult Grandstand Admission is $15.00. Seniors, Ages 60 and Over, are admitted for $14.00 with Juniors, Ages 13 to 16, priced at $9.00. Admission for Children aged Seven through 12 is $5.00 and Children Under Age Seven will be admitted Free. Pit Admission is priced at $27.00.??
Race fans are also encouraged to stop by Truck-N-Stuff Accessories and Equipment Center at 5897 Steubenville Pike (Route 60), Robinson Township, PA on Friday, July 29th as Bad Habit will be on display from 11:00AM to 5:00PM. It's your opportunity to see the "Monster Truck" up close and also receive a $2.00 discount on your Adult Grandstand or Senior Admission to Saturday's racing event.
Race fans can come early and enjoy the big and tasty chicken wings, cheese sticks and Pizza Hut pizza available in the Checkered Flag Food Court. Fans are also invited to bring their own refreshments; however, no glass bottles or alcoholic beverages are permitted to be brought in. In addition, coolers are limited to 14 inches or smaller.

I am always looking for easy and fun alternatives for food ideas with Graham. When I stumbled across Catherine's recipe for Banana Dog Bites I knew they would be wonderful for breakfast, lunch or snacks. What sparked my imagination even more was the fact that they looked a bit like tires! Why does this excite me? Well, Graham has asked to have a Monster Truck Birthday party this year and these will be perfect for snacks at the party! Not only does Graham loves these, but I enjoy having some for breakfast every once in a while! Place a tortilla flat on a plat and cover with Nutella. Make sure you have a good layer so that the tortilla will stick when rolled. Place the banana on one end of the tortilla and roll tightly. You can use extra Nutella on the edge to help seal it together. Cut into slices to resemble wheels. For an added touch, roll some of the wheels in the Nutella to give them a "muddy" feel! Graham thinks we should make extra to play with!
